Wendy & Cian

After Cian and Wendy’s first date, they knew their connection was a special one. They couldn’t stop talking and even though Wendy went on a family holiday for a couple of weeks afterwards, they never stopped contact and were excited to arrange a second date.

Fast forward a year and a half later, Cian knew with certainty Wendy was the one. He had fallen for her and her two amazing kids Bradley and Charlotte and couldn’t imagine life without them. On a visit to Wendy’s parents with the two kids, Cian asked David and Caroline for Wendy’s hand in marriage.

After ordering the ring months before hand, Cian had an idea of what he wanted to do and decided to surprise Wendy on their holiday to Weymouth.

He took her to his favourite spot in Portland in the glorious sunshine, and after a lovely walk down the cliffs to Church Ope Cove, Wendy enjoyed a sunbathe while Cian snorkelled in the sea. Wendy was completely unaware Cian had been secretly carrying around the engagement ring in the bottom of his bag! On the way back up, they stopped at a lookout spot (Cian pretending to be out of breath carrying all the diving gear and bags up the hill) and Cian asked Wendy to take a picture of her staring out at the sea off the cliff. When Wendy turned around, she saw him on one knee, and he asked her to marry him. She said yes and had the opportunity to show a passer-by her new ring seconds after it happened, the man took a picture and said he would remember that moment!

They spent the rest of the day enjoying drinks on the beach, having a lovely seafood meal and excited for the future!
